The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued a warning following the recall of various snack products across 35 states due to potential health risks.

Ulker Brand Snack Rolls, Biscuits, and Wafers Recalled

ZB Importing LLC is voluntarily recalling certain lots of six varieties of Ulker Brand snack rolls, biscuits, and wafers due to undeclared wheat, egg, and/or milk in the ingredient list and/or contains statement on the product labels. Individuals with allergies or severe sensitivities to these ingredients run the risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products. The affected products were distributed through retail stores in Ontario, Canada, and the following U.S. states: Alabama, Arkansas, California, Connecticut, Colorado, District of Columbia, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, Nebraska, North Carolina, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin, and West Virginia. fda.gov

MadeGood Granola Bars Recalled for Metal Contamination

Riverside Natural Foods Inc. has recalled over 2.4 million cases of MadeGood Granola Bars due to the potential presence of metal pieces. The recall, initially issued on December 9, 2024, involves various flavors manufactured between January and November 2024. The FDA classified this recall as Class II, indicating that consumption could lead to temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences. The company has received seven complaints but no reported injuries. They have identified and rectified the issue in their manufacturing process and are collaborating with regulatory authorities and retailers to ensure the affected products are removed from shelves.
